how Amenity house-pdn stands out

  • At Amenity House, we strongly believe in providing our nurses with the tools they need to be successful to better care for our clients. Each location is equipped with a clinically comprehensive skills lab with home medical equipment and training dolls to simulate real life scenarios typically seen in pediatric home care. Our skills lab serves to verify nursing skills as well as a training center for staff looking for additional training.

  • We understand how important it is to match the right nurse for all of our families and it is especially important that we learn every detail of our clients. From family dynamics to favorite toys and customized care plans. We want to learn all the details. Through our client specific orientation, we ensure to send nurses to our client’s home prior to being assigned to provide care, so we can understand their individual needs and learn how to best provide care for them. This is a great time for you and your nurse to get to know each other and build rapport prior to the nurse working on their first day.

  • We recognize the challenges of finding qualified Ventilator and trach experienced nurses. Through our E.L.E.V.A.T.E program, we strive to Enhance Learning and Experience through Ventilator And Tracheostomy Education. Our goal is to prepare our nurses to safely manage tracheostomy and ventilator dependent clients through our training program which consists of In-house Ventilator/Trach Classes, Skills lab simulation, hands on training in the home with a Trach/Vent precepting nurse, followed by a final check off to ensure safety.

admissions process

admissions process

step one

Upon receiving your information, a meet and greet will be scheduled and our Director of Operations and Director of Nursing will visit your home. During this meeting, scheduling preferences, expectations, and clinical needs will be discussed. During this meeting, we take the time to listen to your needs and answer any questions you may have.

step two

After the initial meet and greet with our directors, we will begin scheduling your nurses to meet. These nurses are already Amenity Health Services employees and have gone under the hiring process which includes professional license verification, background checks, CPR certifications and skills competency check offs.

step three

Once we have identified your clinical team of nurses, the Director of Operations and Director of nursing will return to your home to sign all consent forms and create your child’s individualized plan of care and prepare insurance authorization forms. These forms then get sent to the ordering physician for signature.

step four

Once the ordering physician signs all forms prepared by Amenity Health Services, we will submit all paperwork to obtain authorization from your insurance provider. During this process, the office staff will communicate with you every step of the way. Once we receive all the necessary documentation, we will be ready to begin services.

step five

Finally, the big day is here! First day service. On this day, a Nursing Manager and/or the Director of nursing will be present for the first day to ensure that everything goes smoothly. From this point forward, you will receive weekly calls from our Client Service Coordinators and Nursing Mangers to coordinate the care of your child. Welcome to the Amenity Family!
